How It Started: Web2, Clients, and Websites

I didn’t start in crypto or AI. I started with old-school web2:

  • Figuring out what actually makes people click, stay, and buy
  • Building websites for businesses
  • Learning how to bring them traffic

I turned that into a business, grew it, and eventually sold it. That experience gave me something most “online gurus” don’t have:
a real look at what businesses need and what actually works when you have to deliver results.

From Client Work to Affiliate Marketing

After selling the web design business, I wanted something more scalable and independent.

So I took the skills I had:

  • Building sites
  • Driving traffic
  • Understanding offers and conversions
  • …and went all‑in on affiliate marketing

I built myself a blog, started publishing, testing offers, and learning how to attract the right people. Over time I built a brand around “DaveAllanPro” and got a front-row seat to how powerful it is to have an audience and a system working 24/7 in the background.

That phase taught me:

  • How to pick the right offers
  • How to build trust with content
  • How to turn attention into long-term income instead of one-off spikes

The Web3 Rabbit Hole: Bots, AI & Crypto

About four years ago, I fell deep into Web3 and crypto.

I used my programming skills to start building:

  • Bots
  • AI tools
  • Other experiments that live closer to the cutting edge
  • Crypto day-trading apps

I love this stuff. I love Web3, AI, and crypto – not just for the money, but for what they’re doing to culture, ownership, and the way creators can get paid.

But I also saw something clearly:

Most people don’t need to start in Web3.
They need a solid foundation in digital marketing and brand-building first.
